Carroll brings us up to date on issues regarding DLNR Chair Laura Thielen's practices in hiring Commander Mark Young and the firing Dr. Polhemus(DAR). Also under discussion are the major problems at DLNR's Historic Preservation Division.

Thank you once again for having Lyla Berg on this morning. I am really liking this women. I just finished re- listening to your show.The second time around it always better.You just hear so much more.I know I do. I get caught up with Ms.Thielen's wrong doings. My blood boils when I hear her name. When I hear that this states is still allowing her to Chair or Head the Department of Natural Resources.
She isn't even responding to the Federal Government? Who is this women accountable too? NO ONE!
People are jailed or fined.But not Ms.Thielen.She remains to be "ABOVE THE LAW".And talking about remains.She don't care NOTHING about Hawaii.It's culture or traditions.It's people.It's history.Our land.Our ocean.Our waterways.Our resources. People wake up!Her mission is to lie and steal from it's resources for a $. Just look what she has continued to be able to do.
The damage is irreversible.
Come on legislatures.Do your job!
It is a shame to this great state that the federal government can not get a responds from her either.Not to mention or forget her involvement with the hiring of the Coast Guard Commander.And no one questions this? Why not? Of course she is the Head of the Land Board! Oh I forgot.She can do anything she like.Good or bad. More bad then good. Of course.That's Laura Thielen's way.Look she can fire any person who go's against her.Even if that person is doing a great justice for this state.
With their knowledge and wisdom.And yes, she still makes time to attack us fishermen with her lies.Yes we are "MANINI" compared to all the wrong doing this women(THIELEN) has done,under this leadership(LINGLE) yes. So it really wasn't and enforcement issue.It actually was the whole department.With it's corruption and mis-handling. Must be still on going on.What you think?
And NO ONE else has held THIS HER OR HER DEPARTMENT ACCOUNTABLE EITHER.WHO?NOT EVEN THE ATTORNEY GENERAL!
People of Hawaii.Listen and Listen well.
THINK LONG AND HARD WHO YOU WILL BE VOTING FOR THIS TIME AROUND.THEY HAVE OUR LIVES IN Their HANDS.
Or you might as well MOVE now.Cause ain't going have one place we call home (Hawaii).It is surely disappearing.She don't respect NOTHING.Not even our ancestral remains.What you think she care about anything else besides herself?I said it before and I say it again.DLNR IS A FOUR LETTER WORD.LIAR!YEP! She is a liar.And YES OUR GOVERNMENT BODIES has allowed her to continue to take what does not belong to her and give to BIG BUSINESS for a PROFIT.It is ours.The people of Hawaii.
It is being sold for a DOLLAR! Yes!We getting ripped off again.Think people Think!

Laura Thielen is incompetent and should be replaced. She has not done a good job in every position she has had in the past.
She is the problem not the solution.
